Food's not what it used to be...
Meat: Burger chain markets meat scent
American fast food chain Burger King is marketing a men's fragrance with the scent of meat. Called Flame, the company says the spray is "the scent of seduction with a hint of flame-broiled meat".
The scent is on sale in New York for $3.99 (£2.65) and through a website that features a variety of romantic images - but no actual burgers.

DevoChoir: Oh Silent Night
Version of 'Silent Night' with some additional lyrics (semi-sort of gospelly kind of feel). Sorry for the bad recording but just quickly recorded it on a phone during a practice just to get an idea of it.

Yes We Can
We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can withstand the power of millions of voices calling for change. We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics who will only grow louder and more dissonant in the weeks to come.
We've been asked to pause for a reality check. We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.
For when we have faced down impossible odds; when we've been told that we're not ready, or that we shouldn't try, or that we can't, generations... have responded with a simple creed that sums up the spirit of a people.
Yes we can. It was whispered by slaves and abolitionists as they blazed a trail toward freedom through the darkest of nights.
Yes we can. Yes we can to justice and equality. Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity. Yes we can heal this nation. Yes we can repair this world. Yes we can.

Foreign Ploicy
"Exclusive": Katie Couric talks with Gov. Sarah Palin about her foreign policy experience and Alaska's proximity to Russia.
Absolute Vandalism...
... according to Massive Attack...
"how to spend 500 million pounds and bring the city to its knees- a star studded night of portable TV celebs, shopping debt repayment collectors and total auto gridlock. carrot circus is an amazing piece of work that ingeniously manages to capture that gripping 80's shopping mall look of mid America slash the midlands, just what we need to compliment the mall and the giant Barrett business towers down temple way.The galleries now feel like a taxpayers bargain at the price and look how well they have performed compared to the wasted cash drizzled into welfare health and education."

A Prayer for Times of Boredom
From David Runcorn's book, "Spirituality Workshop"
Creator God
Whose gift of life is found as much in tedium as in glory,
teach us to be faithful in the most ordinary tasks of life,
and to consecrate our bordeom to your service
lest in mistaking dullness for your absence, we lose heart
and in confusing excitement for your presence, we lose faith.
For the glory of your name
in all the world
Amen
