It is the start of a mini adventure and I guess I will probably have a lot mor etime to post here as I don't actually have a job. I will be doing a mix of volunteering, music & some freelance stuff too hopefully... but we will see where the winds take me as it were...

Questions of Life # 2: Sweetcorn

Here's a question... sweetcorn, really love it. Nice with peas as some sort of additional veg option when having pies, etc. Great straight off the cob too...

Well we all know that after you've eaten it...

... so is sweetcorn indestructible? Discuss.

Christmas Food

Some might say its a bit too early for this - but I am thinking for these things to really take off we need to be prepared to hit the market hard and fast. Two things for the festive larder this year

1) Real Christmas Mince pies - made with real mince
2) The Christmas Pizza - 'deep and crisp and even' ("ahem... I thank you")

debunking myths # 1

If you believe the popular maxims and marketing slogans around i think you can land yourself in a bit of trouble... here's an example.

1) Children are the future
2) The future's bright, the future's Orange

CHILDREN=FUTURE
FUTURE=BRIGHT+ORANGE

therefore CHILDREN are BRIGHT ORANGE

Its a thought isn't it??

Questions of Life # 1: Cheese vs. Nightmares

This kicks off the first in a series of 'Questions of Life'... I'm hoping that as a virtual community you can help answer some of these great mysteries. The more answers we get - the more accurate our collective research will be. So here we go...

Its often been suggested that one should not eat cheese before sleeping on the suggestion that it will give you nightmares. Two initial thoughts came out from this for me:

1) Does the amount of cheese that a person eats affect the severity of the nightmare?
2) Does the strength of cheese affect the severity of the nightmare?

So, if cheese DOES give you nightmares, what does it depend on? Could it be possible that a large portion of mild cheddar could give you a nightmare equal to that of a small amount of Limburger... Discuss & experiment, then report back here - the world awaits!
